Dear Educator or Parent of Youth Age 13 - 17, 

I never imagined a future where I would be writing this letter to you; a letter written to offer support for you and your learners during a pandemic that has disrupted life as we knew it.  Only a few short months ago we were ringing in a new decade, dreaming of where we would be 10 years from now and setting goals for 2020. 

For many of our youth, those plans included looking forward to summer holidays, hanging out with friends or for some it is about looking forward to graduation and figuring out what life looks like after high school.  Some may be worried about the impact of this change on their future while others may not realize the pandemic and how the world is responding to flatten the curve will transform the way we learn, connect and work in the future. 

Now more than ever during these unprecedented times we need to step to the forefront with leadership.  As you are aware in many communities, classes are either moving to remote learning or being canceled for extended periods of time.  Educators are navigating the world of remote learning and what this means for the next academic year. Parents are struggling to figure out how to home school their children to ensure learning continues and create some sense of normalcy.

It goes without saying, all the changes create unplanned stress and possible isolation for youth which is why the Rise Above Youth Summit was created.   This is a FREE Virtual Summit that will provide personal growth and leadership development education, training and inspiration for the youth of our nation and around the world as we face the coronavirus crisis together. 

I have gathered 24 speakers, trainers and coaches who have pulled together youth centered training in the areas of mindset, wellness, stress management, overcoming adversity, leadership, mental health that was felt to be relevant to enable youth to rise above the coronavirus crisis.
